Scranton Tractor Ride is Aug. 8

The eighth annual Scranton Tractor Ride will tour the county Saturday, Aug. 8.

Trailer parking and registration begins at 7 am at the Scranton Community Center. There is no participation fee, but drivers and riders must sign a waiver. Drivers must be at least 16 years of age with a parent or guardian to sign a waiver.

Tractors must be geared to travel at least 12 miles per hour. No ATV, UTV, or All Terrain Vehicles will be allowed. The drive is for tractors only.

The wheels will turn at 8:30 am and should return to Scranton at about 12 pm. The route is approximately 35 miles in length.

Drinks and food will be available at registration for a free will donation to the Scranton Community Center. Participants will take a mid-morning break at Seven Hills Park west of Jefferson.

All are invited to stay to eat lunch and socialize at the end of the ride. The community center will be open but participants and guests must furnish their own sack lunch and beverage.

Masks are not required, but everyone is requested to practice a minimum social distance of 6 feet.
